Z is for Zero Day by Jan Gangsei

Cover Girls theme for the A - Z Challenge is no surprise -- book covers!

Z – Zero Day by Jan Gangsei

Dani – At first this cover had me thinking, “It must be a political read,” but after reading the blurb, it is much more of a kidnapping president’s daughter type of book! And even if politics isn’t your thing, the cover still grabbed my attention.

Jax - I like how the title is carved out of the flag in the middle of all these codes. Cool cover!

P – Passenger (Passenger, #1) Alexandra Bracken

Dani – There is just so much I love about this! The city in the bottle and the reflection of a ship. I will need to read this to see how the connection is made between the two.

Jax - I love how the city's reflection is a ship, and like Dani, I want to know why it's there!

Q – The Queen of the Tearling (#1) by Erika Johansen

Dani – This cover is just whimsical. It looks like magic with a hint of menace.

Jax - An image in the water, but nothing on the pier casting that image, is bone chilling. This makes me want to read this immediately!
Dani – I love these concepts for book covers. Leaves you with a sense of uncertainty, and that kind of feeling has me wanting to read this.

O - Only the Stones Survive by Morgan Llywelyn

Jax - This cover is gorgeous! I want to jump right in and go visit, especially because it reminds me of The Shannara Chronicles. Wanna go with me, Dani?

Dani – Of course I do! And I see what you mean in reference to The Shannara Chronicles. This cover is fantasy at its finest.

J is for Just One Day by Sharla Lovelace

Cover Girls theme for the A - Z Challenge is no surprise -- book covers!

J - Just One Day by Sharla Lovelace

Jax- The description of this book doesn't mesh with what I see when I look at the cover. Part of me wonders if someone, or some thing, is going to nip at her feet or pull her under! The other part of me longs for Dani's parents lake cottage... is it summer yet?

Dani – I totally agree, Jax. I instantly thought, “OMG something is going to take her under!” And was quite excited about it too, but then I read the blurb and was like, “Oh.”  However, the cover is still very calming and soothing, and makes me covet the warm days at my parents with my bestie!
